Ask an HIV Educator

We will regularly post frequently asked questions that we hear during our presentation.  Usually people start off with “I have a dumb question….” but there is NO SUCH THING AS A DUMB QUESTION.  Especially since everyone in the room has the same question.  Here’s a question I have gotten at three consecutive presentations:

Can HIV be created in two people who are HIV-negative (do not have HIV)?

No. Someone has to have the virus for HIV to be transmitted. HIV can not be created in two people who do not have the virus.
